When i first saw the cover of the book, I thought that it was about a romantic story between Marc and Marci. I had no clue that it would be such a compelling story full of adventure and heartache. But, when i started reading i was hooked from the start and emotionally invested. I could actually understand and relate to Marc, because my life was similar to his. I enjoyed games and had many online friends. Sometimes I felt like I was reading two completely different books, because everything in Marc's life changed dramatically overtime. He suddenly lost his parents and was lost for a while after that, he decided to take a break from Cleveland and moved to London. He had to deal with a lot of trauma to become the person he always wanted to be, overtime he developed long lasting friendships with people who really cared about him. his friends had to deal with a lot of loss and trauma as well, which helped Marc with his journey. I loss someone very close to me in the past, so I understood what Marc was going through even more. Marc almost lost his life in a Bombing that happened in London outside of a pub, Because of that near death experience his life changed forever. He went from Marc to Marci. It all stared when his friends decided to dress him up as a girl. Overall, I loved everything about this book from the beginning to the end. it was really good and it gave me more insight about what Transgender women have to go through, most of it started from their childhood. Either they were rejected for who they want to be or they got abused or maybe they always questioned their sexuality. If you like books with a little bit of everything I highly suggest checking this out. I don't often get emotionally attached to books but, this one had me completely locked in. In the end Marci got the life she always wanted, she had kids and a partner who loved her very much. Marc had a very uninteresting life before he became Marci, he had his school and video games. He spent most of his time at home playing games with his online friends and not having much of a social life outside of online, deep down he wanted more and eventually he got that. But it wasn't easy at all. He had to deal with a lot to completely change into the person he wanted to be.
