The Hundredth Time Around by Stacy Lee follows the character Cassidy Quinn as she tries to grow from the death of her family by spending the summer before going to law school on the coast of Maine. Although she’s spending the summer with her best friend Emma, a relationship is kindled between Cassidy and a mystery man she met while on the beach. As the book looks back on Cassidy’s past, we see character growth and uncover many mysteries and secrets that didn’t add up at the beginning of the book.

I don’t have many negative things to say about this book. It was written very well, and I did not notice any typos. The only thing that confused me a bit was toward the end of the book, when the big secrets were revealed and answered. A lot of things were sort of jammed together into one paragraph, which just led to me having to reread it a couple of times to make sure I understood correctly. Everything made sense grammatically; it was just quite confusing.

My favorite thing Stacy Lee did was how she switched points of view and even managed to not only switch years but generations as well. It’s always so interesting to know the thoughts behind multiple characters and not just the main character. The characters are also written very well and make you want to follow along on their journeys.

I would rate The Hundredth Time Around by Stacy Lee four stars out of five. I thought this was an interesting book that captivated me from the beginning. With zero typos and with it being well-edited it made it an easy read as well. I didn’t rate it five stars because I consider that to be a rating reserved for absolutely perfect books. Although I thought this book was good and I would recommend it to others, I wouldn’t say it’s deserving of five stars. I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance books with a hint of mystery.
