Review of Midwinter Turns to Spring by Maria Veloso.

Midwinter Turns to Spring is a story about love and romance.

The story begins with Cassidy Hamilton a woman who moves into a Victorian apartment and discovers a hidden
drawer tucked behind the baseboard of the cabinet was a journal of Savannah Curtis a woman who once lived there. Cassidy comes to know of the event concerning life of Savannah Curtis, an art consultant.

As the story proceeds, Alfonso Madrigal a Flamenco Guitarist from Spain is introduced. Alfonso Madrigal attends a lecture on "The Hidden Masterpiece of Pablo Picasso" to find out about the painting given to him by his late grandmother. He later talks to Savannah Curtis after the lecture and request her to authenticate the painting. As you continue reading through the pages you will learn important insights about all kinds of relationships.

Midwinter Turns to Spring may seem to be about a romantic love story but i found the book to be a bit confusing with all the flashbacks. As you proceed , your imagination goes on you see the beautiful setting of Spain and the music. There is portrayal of tough love, something that can make you think about emotional scars that can last for a lifetime.

Maria Veloso exceptional words of choice and setting is really what to go for and love scences are discreet.

If you love reading romance , this book will be a better choice. it will make you think of love in different perspectives. I highly recommend.
