The binding stone: The Raven's trail by Liz D. Marx is the sequel to the first book published by the author, which portrays the captivating story of the lovebirds Mason, the last Tula prince and Chloe, the reincarnated self of his past lover.

In this book, we are told the tale of a young Pamela Swan, who at the beginning, was under the impression that she had been dragged into a fight that was not hers but had sooner come to discover than it was not the case at all.

In the roller of events, Pamela, a deviously cunning woman, fights her way through a magical ancient stone, her menace of an uncle, a teenage boy and people who she had offended one way or the other in her past.

Along the line, she finds something with Foster, who we can say was more than just an old acquaintance to her and has to make certain difficult choices in order to achieve her goals.

What I loved most about this novel is how entertaining and as well as educating it was. There are things I previously did not know about the Native-Americans that I learned through this book. I like that bits of history was sprinkled throughout the book which enables the reader to not only be entertained, but also learn one or two things.

I also enjoyed the characters. Each was one amazingly portrayed and I felt a connection to them while reading. My favorite was Pamela. From the moment she was introduced, I took a liking to her. I admired her zeal and ferocity and was secretly rooting for her.

Of course, I will not forget to mention that this book taught me several lessons. One of which is "Inaction is an action it itself", words spoken by a character in the book. Very deep words, if you ask me. It teaches that thinking one can make a difference without taking any active approach is just the same as not doing anything altogether.

There is nothing I dislike about this book. It was an amazing read and I looked forward to every chapter, becoming hooked to it. I almost felt like I was part of the book itself, finding myself curious about what was going to happen next as the story progressed. I will therefore give this this novel a five out of five stars to show how much I enjoyed it.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy romance with a sprinkle of history and thrill and also to the lovers and believers in magic.
