As the years go by, we often find ourselves forgetting about the deeds of our past. Marc was one of those, who unexpectedly found himself travelling down memory lane one morning after reading an interesting article in the newspaper which had him reminiscing about his childhood days. For many, being an only child may seem to be a blessing but for Marc, it is the total opposite. Not only is he a nerd but also a gamer who uses his gaming as an escape from reality. With only a few days left till his graduation, he finds himself in an emotional turmoil when he unexpectedly finds himself being escorted home by a police officer. With fear engulfing Marc's heart, he is led to his room where the horrifying and tragic news about the demise of his parents awaits him. It was at this point that he knew that he was truly all alone with nothing else to go on with. Whilst being entrusted to Jack, a family friend and his new guardian, he now has to find a way to move on and pick up the pieces of his life, and through it all, he prays for love and to have a relationship that his parents had. Will Marc be able to pull himself together, go to college and find the love that he prays for? Follow him on his journey to find out what had become of him after the tragedy that struck him.

This novel was so beautifully written, it brought tears to my eyes as it took me down memory lane of my own life. It is enthralling and captivating to read. Sincerely speaking, I was impressed with the flawless writing of the novel and the incredible twists and turns throughout the book.

There was nothing to dislike about the book. It was enjoyable and had me wanting to finish it in one sitting. I admire the way that the author managed to fit different scenarios into one novel so effortlessly, from the tragedy of Marc losing his parents to experiencing a terrorist attack.

I would rate this book 4 out of 4 due to it being so well-edited and so detailed. It showed professionalism in the author's writing.

Marc Marci, written by Larry G. Goldsmith is a book that contains a moderate amount of sexual content, terrorism, tragedy, love and pain. It is a novel that I would recommend to young adults.
