Summary
This bookMidwinter turns to spring is a love story about two people who loved, lost and found each other again. It leads us though the story of how Savannah and Alfonso met, fell in love, lost each other and met and fell in love with each other again. From the time they first met at the seminar to the time they lost each other and the time they met again during the time that Savannah had amnesia, the love they had transcended time and space till they could be together again.

Positive aspects
The love that Savannah had for Alfonso was so strong and true that she was willingly to sacrifice the future she could have had with him to ensure that his daughter wouldn't have to go through the pain of an absent father in her life like she had to endure. Also the love that Cassidy had to want to reunite two people that she read abput in a journal that she found in her house is also inspiring.

Negative aspects
That the author, Maria Veloso chose to bring about the aspect of infidelity in this novel did not sit right with me.
Although the love that the two main characters have for each other is true and strong, it is also saddening that they had to find this love through infidelity. What with Savannah cheating on her fiance and Alfonso cheating on his wife. It would have heen better if they had waited to break up with their respective partners first.
That Savannah and Alfonso had to lose each other for over 2 decades is saddening. That the two of them had to love each other only through memories and couldn't be together almost made this had to read through. I also didn't like that Brandon had to grow up without an active father in his life. Although the lies that Savannah told him about his father where meant to protect him, it also made him feel left out and having to rely on the memories and experiences of fatherhood through other people.

I would rate this book as a 3 out 4 stars mainly because although it is good it does refer to thing I'm not comfortable with such as infidelity. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes long and slow building romance.
