In the book Midwinter Turns to Spring by Maria Veloso Savannah and Alfonso meet each other and fall in love but, its at the wrong time. Savannah who comes from a broken home refuses to let a child grow up without her father in her life. Alfonso also had a difficult childhood and promised himself to never let this happen to his child. When he met Savannah he was already married to the mother of his child which turns out to not be his at all. Alfonso loved his daughter anyway as a father should and vowed to never leave her and her mother. When Savannah finally saw the family of three together she decided that she cannot take Alfonso away from his daughter and disappeared from his life for twenty six years. After Cassidy took up residence in the place where Savannah used to live and finds her journal she decided to look for both Savannah and Alfonso as the love story was just to intense to ignore. They finally meet again but Savannah has amnesia and cannot remember Alfonso but still feel like he means something to her past and present. After many hardships she is finally fully recovered and they could finally start to live their love story to the fullest.

This book has shown me that true love still exists and no matter what if you are true to yourself and the ones you love then love will certainly prevail. If you belief in something never give up.

On the positive side of this book had taught me that you can survive hardships and that you will and can love as love is the most important element in life itself.

Although the story jumped a lot from past to present and back again I cannot really mark this as negative but some might find it disturbing.

I would rate this book 3 out of 4 as it is one of the most beautiful love stories I have read in the past few year. Very good.

If you are like me and are in love with love and a hopeless romantic I this will be just the book for you.

I would recommend this book to all those who are out there looking to still believe in real genuine love. It is a good love story with two people who are so selfless they would rather give up their lives with each other than hurt other people. In my opinion if you are looking for a store where love is selfless instead of selfish like we see in life today this will be just the book for you.
