In Yesterday, by Samyann, you see a beautiful story outline lovers from the past and future. The story switches focus from the present to the past. As the story unfolds, there is a pleasant mystery that unravels with a wonderful love story of Mark and Amanda. You see Amanda fight through the traumas of her past and present life while also undoubtedly falling for a handsome Chicago police officer. As they race to find out the mystery of the clock, they begin to fall for each other and the mystery of the two of them just begins.

This story has the most define details. The descriptive details make you feel as if you are standing right there with the characters. You can picture each setting and what is going on in each scene due to the remarkable details put in. Samyann, does a great job keeping the reader hooked throughout the story line. The romance with a bit of mystery to it kept me from wanting to put the book down. The book keeps the reader very captivated.

Even though the book had outstanding detail, I felt as if there were parts throughout the book that left me very confused. I feel as if the book left some very key information out in different scenes in the book. It was more than keeping the reader looking for answers. There were also multiple paragraphs that had random details in them. This created confusion on where the details were coming from. Overall, the book was very pleasant to read and continued to excite me as I continued to read through the story.

I would rate this book 2 out of 4 stars. Yesterday, was a very intriguing book that I continued to want to read to find out what exactly happens. However, even though I was intrigued, I felt as if I was confused through almost the entirety of the book. The book has a very good story line and could potentially be very compelling if edits were made to make it a clearer on what is exactly happening in the book. There were few to no grammatical errors in this book and was clearly edited by a professional.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves a romance book with a bit of mystery added to it. Readers who also like to read about history would make a great audience for this book as well.
