The Binding Stone: The Raven’s Trail by Liz D. Marx follows the love story of Chloe and Mason, and the story behind the magical stone. The story begins where the story of the previous book ended. So you need to read Book 1, otherwise, you will not be able to understand the story.

When Chloe and Mason thought that all the trouble was over, and now, they could finally spend time in peace, just then they realized Pamela has another part of the stone. So they rushed to find the other part of that stone. But the news came that Johnny could not be found, and Norman’s weather suddenly went bad. What could be the reason? On the other hand, Pamela was desperate to find her luck. But she noticed Johnny was following her. Why was Johnny chasing her? What was he trying to say? During so much trouble, Pamela could not get Foster out of her mind. Why? There are more suspense in this book.

What I like most is that the author of this story told the story of Pamela and Foster. The author pointed out that her childhood was responsible for Pamela’s degradation. The author highlighted wonderfully that even after all of this, Pamela was a decent person. He also explained Foster’s childhood, how he became a cop, and how he ended up being a personal investigator. This story contains humanity, generosity, and equality. The fact that skin color does not make a person the best has come out exquisitely. I love how the author enhanced the love story of Chloe and Mason. Not just them, but the love story of Pamela and Foster was spoken here.

There was nothing wrong with the story. But it would be nice to see some things a little better. For example, it would have been better to explain how Chloe and Mason got out of such big trouble in the end.

I’m rating this book 3 out of 4 stars. I reduced one star because of the reason I explained a little earlier. This book had mild sexual scenes and some curse words. So I would not suggest this book to children under 14. However, I recommend this book to everyone else.

It’s hard to figure out which genre this book belongs to. Because this story contains crime, fantasy, mystery, and love. You can’t tell the story in advance, and that’s what I liked best about it. I hope you will like it too.
