[rwc=id480636-125]2 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]The binding Stone by Liz D. Marx.

After Masons and chloes adventure together, Liz D.Marx gives us the second book of the series. With Foster and Pamela as the first main characters we embark on adventures with bounty hunters, time traveling, magic stones, and romance. New secrets are discovered as well as new enemies, and threats that might change the destiny of our beloved characters.

I was intrigued by the way the author made me change my mind about the characters while I was reading her book. She really made me rethink if I truly liked Chloe and Mason, or if I truly dispiced Pam. I also loved the concept of Native Americans, and how the culture was really portrayed in the story, mostly for the fact that it also makes the recognition of what truly happened many years ago, and the discrimination to their culture, and practices still to this date.

I’m going to be honest, I really enjoyed this book, it was quick, and easy. Nevertheless the cheap romance was too much for me, I just couldn't handle the repetitive “I love you, but I’m going to betray you anyway''. This thought process on characters was repeated over and over again. I would be okay with it if it didn't affect the decisions of the characters in the story, or if they actually betrayed each other and ran off. But sadly that never happens, and you get trapped into a never ending cycle, with the feelings they have for each other as an excuse. That last fact actually affected Pam's character. I saw her as a super cool woman, that knows how to fight, and shoots whoever is on her way. It's just very contradicting the way the book describes her, and the actions she makes. I had so many expectations for her, and at the end I was disappointed by her character.

I would give this book a 2 out of 4 stars, and I'll recommend it to someone who loves sci-fi\fantasy romantic novels, and wants a quick reading. Nevertheless it is for people who are 16, or older. This is because it contains slight sexual scenes as well as r@pe conversations at times, and other aggressive topics like fights, guns, and murder.
