Noah is a very sizzling, unpredictable, oddly funny and intriguing book that is hard to put down from the get go. The book was hard to put down for me because the book left me expectant of the next events. The book accounts for the lives of two people madly in love with each other without even knowing it and each of them battling with their insecurities one of identity and fitting into people's expectations and another trying to meet the world without losing yourself or your uniqueness in the process.

Distance and their personal thoughts separates them but the heart longs for it other half. I'd like to quote a phrase in the book by Woody Allen that stayed with me while reading "the heart wants what it wants". Noah who is an eponymous character in the book is in love with his pen friend through emails, Ana and a park ranger named Dorothy. His thoughts are either on Ana or Dorothy, sometimes his thought even count them as one. Dorothy on the other hand feels because of issues concerning her birth and parents that Noah wouldn't like her if she actually reveals her true identity to him.

The main characters went through the phase of time and distance before they could be reunited. Even when they were in the same place at the same time they were not able to meet. The book creates a contrast between fate and coincidence. Gary Hope presents their love story in such a way that some parts of the book annoy you but intrigues you all the same.

I would give this book three out of four.

This is because it is very different from the love stories I read but at the same time it captures my attention. The book makes me want to keep reading at the same time slam the book down on my bed. It has been a long time since a book has had that effect on me. It is a certain must read to everyone who loves a good romance book with cliffhangers and longing of distant hearts.
