Review by Andy_White -- My Trip To Adele
This book, My Tip to Adele by R.I Alyaseer and A.I Alyaseer comprises of three different stories with a conjoint factor; Adele's songs. The Musician's songs are a soothing factor, easing pain and agony as well as creating memories and bringing them back. Elisha is in the journey of searching for his long lost love, Nadia – a divorced mother is journeying passionately for her freedom off from her ex-husband while Yaser and Mariam an unhappy married couple for eight years try their luck to revive the long lost spark of love that existed before they exchanged their vows. The book is a love book creating a colossal knowledge of love, the pain of love and the bondage of love. Religion, freedom and desire are also signposted as human pleasure which serves to bring sustenance, peace and hope among human beings.
Elias could not help but marvel how, even after eight years, Malika a girl she met once in El-Fnaa Square in Marrakesh, could still be holding his heart so fondly. The nostalgia could not hold him in Rome, Italy but had to leave for Marrakesh to unseal a purported black magic break up spell cast by Malika's mother. "How could a mother be jealous of her daughter" Elias deliberated deep within. He knew that love and sacrifice were two branches of the same tree. A promise made is what could reunite the virtual love birds. The paradox, laying in a life box, a gift from Elias to Malika eight years ago. In the box is an inscribed piece recalling the promise made by Elias to meet Malika in Adele's music concert which leads to the reconnect.
Dr. Brown could not help resurrect the ill-fated marriage between Yaser and Mariam. Mariam's convictions of faith in God and maybe fate steered Yaser to propose to her. Since the inception of their marriage to close a decade, Yaser could not unravel the paradox of whether their marriage was torn between work and their attempts to build a family or the strictness and faith in God by Mariam which to Yaser was now a fallacy. A memory to bring back happiness for the couple would just turn to arguments and accusations. A faked life on social media, Mariam's strict moral code and conservativeness could not save them. Seeking liberty by rebelling against his wife would be the only remedy to the marriage in which Yaser did not realize. On the verge of a breakup at the Airport to Adele's concert in Verona, Italy, is the only moment that sparks love out of the fear and pain of a breakup amongst the duo.
"Since when did love become an excuse for infidelity and silence a sign of loyalty?" This is the most impounding question which made Nadia seek freedom. Suffering from physical violence from her infidel husband, Nadia is grateful to God for aiding her to succeed in divorcing her now ex-husband. The only link now between the divorcees is Waleed, their son whom Nadia could do anything and everything to please him, leading to handy dealings with her ex-husband. Securing a plane ticket to take her son to Verona, for the famous Adele concert was her greatest pleasure. She couldn't hold the pain after realizing that her ex-husband has banned Walled from international travel. The fighter and outgoing Nadia realizes that her freedom was conditional.
This book My Trip to Adele by R.I Alyaseer and A.I Alyaseer is a genial book, with a Standard English narrative and a precisely attention-grabbing and appealing storyline. It is very educational and can cut across all dimensions of readers and audiences. The educative element makes it commendable for children, young adults and adults. This book pictures a great deal that the search and fight for freedom, desire and religion should be a person's undeniable inspiration, as these all culminate into love, peace, sustenance and hope for a beautiful life.
I love the wild description of Love, fate, religion, freedom and desire intertwined within and brought about in the three storylines making it an outstandingly immaculate book. Except for a typo on page 226 of "und" instead of "and", the book was exceptionally well-edited. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.
