Samyann's Yesterday is a book filled with joy, sorrow, birth, death, and above all, love. As Vincent Van Gogh said, “Love is eternal, the aspect may change, but not the essence”, this reincarnation novel has beautifully captured the concept of soul mates and loving someone for eternity.

Yesterday is about Amanda Parker and Mark Callahan, who feel deeply connected on their first meeting, where Amanda saves Mark’s life. As they cannot resist the pull towards each other and get closer, they realize their attraction is not from their present life. So they enlist the help of Amanda’s godmother Mary, who is a well-known Psychiatrist. The rest of the story is how Amanda goes through the series of regression therapy sessions to find out about her past life and her bond with Mark in the present and how a few bad incidents shouldn’t decide one’s future decisions.

The story also takes us on the journey of a clock that is first introduced in the book when Amanda meets Mark. The clock travels with both of them through the beginning and stays with them in the present as a symbol of their eternal love story. I liked the natural tone of the entire book, the portrayal of raw emotions like death, like the fear of letting yourself go to love someone unconditionally. There is a kind of contempt after finishing the book and there weren’t any typos either and it was neatly edited. There isn’t anything that I disliked about the book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It had everything that I would expect from a romance novel. Samyann explains every scene, every incident of both the past and present lives in a very detailed way. Every historical event mentioned in the book got an exact and right voice from her. This book is a sweet mixture of romance and historical fiction, which sucks you in right from the beginning and deserves a full score from me.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes the romance genre and it would also appeal to history lovers. It is suitable for any and every age group since there weren't any erotic scenes.
