The book was okay I kept getting lost because the book had different stories and events that were all over the place. I didn’t know if I was in the past tense or present tense in the book. Overall the storyline of the book was good maybe I should have read the first book to understand what was going on. I felt as if there was not enough romance with a romance book you have to be more graphic to create a mental image for your audiences. This book was not my cup of tea but it’s good though just not for me. I’ll be honest, second chance romances are not my favorite because it’s actually like I couldn’t experience two love stories in one — the past, and the present. The past is always so special and new, and the present is usually intensified by so many years apart. Now, I know that if you’re anything like me as a reader, you’ve already read a lot of books with this type of storyline, but I promise you this one isn’t unique and not worth the read! Even though the whole “fall in love, get torn apart, get reunited” storyline isn’t new, to me at least it’s all about how it’s told and this book… this book SUCKKS!!! The story didn’t steal my heart. I hated the characters and I didn't feel invested in their relationship which resulted me being completely able to put the book down. My heart didn’t race as I read, I disliked so much of the book, and I hated how it ended. I rate this book a 1 out of 4
