The Looking Glass Friends was an extraordinary book that explored the true meaning of what it is to have a soulmate. This book showed how love does not come from circumstances and it cannot be bought. The main characters came from polar opposite lives but found that they were unpreventably drawn to each other with no other explanation than that they were soulmates. When trials were thrown their way to stop their love, they only grew closer.

I would rate this book a 4 out of 4 because the writing quality was very impressive and the plot was well developed. The book and no easily noticed errors and the storyline was interesting enough to keep the reader engaged. While it was at times a little difficult to understand what the characters' exchanges meant, the small confusion did not take away from the story and was only a personal disadvantage.

One of the things I liked most about Looking Glass Friends by E.L. Neve was the way she showed the point of view of almost all of the characters she introduced and not only the main ones. I think she did this as a way to help the readers more fully understand the conflict and why it was being handled the way it was. It was fascinating to read the main conflict from several different points of view and be satisfied with the way the book turned out. I also liked the pieces of philosophy and advice that dropped into the story. It pushed my mind to think harder to understand the meaning.

However, in contrast to what I was saying previously, one thing that I wish could have been better explained in the book is how it turned out. I think after all the time developing the characters and watching their lives, it would have been more pleasing to hear how they ended up. For example, the couple went back to the mansion and not to the room that was brought up as where they were going.

In conclusion, the book was well thought out and developed. It was an intriguing and fascinating story that showed love from another perspective. The idea of soulmates was introduced and clearly explained in a way that I am sure most people have not thought of. This book did include sexual content that needed to be there in order to complete the plot but I would not recommend an audience younger than young adults.
