Hopefully it ends well for Maureen and Marcas. I don't read historical fiction, so I'll pass on this book.

It seems that Maureen and Marcas were meant to be together as they fell in love in one life and then meet again in their next life, as Mark and Marla. The story addresses thought-provoking themes such as love, loneliness, mercy, and infidelity. Sounds interesting.

I am sure that the book has all the themes mentioned in the review and is a lovely story overall. Unfortunately I couldn't get passed the somewhat unrealistic dialogue. In no way would a conversation occur where both parties said the other's name in every response and, for me, this spoiled the enjoyment.

Maureen and Marca's love story seems thrilling as they were in love at a time in their lives and reincarnated as they see themselves in a different life bearing different names and already married yet feel the connection like they knew each other in their previous lives.

I believe in reincarnation, even though it seems impossible. I appreciate the author for putting great themes in this book. One of the most important themes is forgiveness. I would love to see how Mark and Marlas' relationship turns out to be.

I love books that have strong themes such as love, loneliness and infidelity. I believe there are lots of lessons to learn from this book. It will go a long way to change reader's mindset.

I am not much of a history fan, but the realistic theme of love appeals to me. The BOTD appears to show the harsh reality of marriage without truly seeking a partner that you can live with for the remainder of life. Nice review.

This review, in my opinion, is the most intriguing and insightful one I have ever read on this site.

With love, passion, infidelity, and a hint of the paranormal, it is a lovely love story that took an unexpected turn.

Since I have a high threshold for emotion, I am aware that this story will transport me on an emotional journey.

I'm going to put it on my shelf as quickly as I can.

I appreciate a good love story, but I wonder what supernatural event caused Marcas and Maureen to meet again in a different life, with different names, and how they found each other again. I have yet to read many books set in Scotland, so that is also of interest to me. Great book review! Congrats to Marco Colina.

I am very picky with romance books and everything related to reincarnation always threatens to sprain my brain, so I am not sure if I would enjoy this book. I’m curious, though, on what decade where these two lovebirds reborn? Thank you for the lovely review!

This is a very intriguing storyline, though I'm not a big fan of reincarnation, the romance plot makes it interesting and I will like to add it to my TBR. Fascinating review

I would like to see how the book mixed realism with supernatural. Also, It's a good thing that it discussed being trapped in an unwanted marriage and loneliness.
