[Following is a volunteer review of "Who Told You That You Were Naked?" by William Combs.]

[rbc=3:]id138572-125[/rbc:]I enjoyed the book, Who Told You that You Were Naked. It is written in an easy to follow format, yet provided depth to the topic that I appreciated. The book takes the concept and understanding of original sin in Genesis and explores that theme throughout the Bible and across various aspects of the Christian life. It offers much food for thought and additional study. The narrative tone relaying the stories of the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve's fall, Cain's act of murder of Abel all bring those stories to life in a fresh, new way. The author then turns toward application of this understanding to the New Testament and Jesus' teaching. I enjoyed the way the author fleshed out the text while remaining true to the Bible and its teaching. The story of Jared as the man lowered by his friends into the house where Jesus was teaching reads like a novel, rich with imagery and inviting the reader to imagine what the experience was like for all involved. Modern day illustrations of the authors points are helpful as well.
Rating: 3 out of 4.
