Who Told You That You Were Naked? by William E. Combs author of 'Pray for a Spiritual Heartburn: Devotionals and Prayers,' being my first book to review was really an exciting journey. After reading the book, my reviews on the book are;

I liked the way the author shared his personal stories(experiences) with me. This created a great feeling of connection with me and the book in which I'm sure will do to others. The stories shared also put deep brighter light into all the chapters in the book. Of course, writing stories is a good skill and if mastered make things better which the author, Williams E.Combs is really good at. Especially his 'personal testimony' shared on 'pages 115-117,' 'about how he and his family traveled to another place when he was young and was once invited by his classmates to Bible school; immediately had the sense of belonging to Jesus Christ kingdom.' All the stories shared in the book is really good.

Also,the study questions in each chapter give room for one's improvement and better learning. Teaching with the aid of making the student do more research on the topic taught is extremely powerful which was well practicalized in the book. The question asked at the end of each chapter makes the chapter really understandable, it also give additional information to the reader. Bible verses and chapters cited at the study question section makes one to understand both the scriptures and the questions asked, making one to answer the question easily.

The organization of the book is another aspect of the book that is commendable. The book first chapter 'Innocent in the Garden,' and second chapter 'Naked in the Garden,' really laid the foundation between me and the book to get the concept of the book. Getting to chapter three- 'Sin: Crouching at the Door,' I had already gotten the basics of the book which made me to flow well with the book and understand better. From chapter five to the last chapter(chapter ten) the author William E. Combs built on already laid foundation of chapter one and two in which he brought more light on the first two chapters. I really commend the author and the publishers of the book for the good level of organization .

Scripture citation is another aspect of the book that I compliment. The grace to cite Biblical scriptures in almost all chapters and subtopics made me to connect well with the book. As I mentioned earlier the scriptures cited at the study question section made me to understand and answer some questions better.

In summary, William E. Combs book talks more about sin. How sin came to this world as in the Old Testament of the Bible; the reasons why Adam and Eve sinned at the beginning. Also,it teaches that though we are of the Adam sinful nature, we can be full of the Holy Spirit and ways one can do that.

The book is really a good book for everyone to read which answered some of mu Biblical questions which will as answer yours if you can get a copy for yourself. I advice everyone to get a copy for themselves. I rate the book three out of four because of the organization,good stories shared,study question and scriptue citation. Really good book. Get your copy.
