The book Love is the answer, God is the cure, tells the story of Aimee Cabo Nikolov. A story so heart-wrenching that sometimes you are left drowning in your own tears. It is a story of child abuse and neglect. As a child, she had to become a mother to her siblings, a wife in all ramifications to her stepfather. She grew up not knowing what love is. It tells what victims of rape go through. The feeling that they brought the rape upon themselves, not ever recovering completely from the incident, incidents, in this case, having to doubt their partners. It tells of their struggle with belief in themselves, the pain they have to live with. It shows the mental, physical and spiritual torture they go through and how the media contributes to their torture. Was Aimee’s strength, her faith in God, and her willingness to give love a chance enough to help her survive as a victim of sexual abuse?

I like that the story gave a little insight into what victims of rape go through and everyone reads this story has to have more understanding and patience towards them. It shows how the media compounds their problem. Furthermore, the book was apt and straight to the point. The vulnerability and the sincerity in her story is admirable. I loved that she prayed for whoever was reading the story and didn’t hide her spirituality. The role God plays in helping those who believe in Him she talked about and this should go a long way in encouraging Christians who are in one form of difficulty or the other. Furthermore, her strength, her fighter spirit left me willing to fight through whatever I am going through. I absolutely loved that at the end of the book, she offered to help those who are victims of sexual abuse.

I loved everything about the story that there was nothing not to love or like.

I would recommend this book to parents so that through reading this, they understand the value of spending time with their children and showing them what true love should look like. I would recommend it to anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse. This book should be read by Christians as it portrays a Job kind of faith in God. Furthermore, this book should be read by anyone seeking to identify with victims of sexual abuse.

I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This is especially because of vulnerability, the sincerity of the book. The fact that it is straight to the points adds to this rating. Furthermore, the courage to tell this story is worth an excellent rating. It will be a crime to rate it anything less.
