Who told you that you were naked? By William E. Combs is a non-fiction book of how God created the man and woman for His purpose, how did the knowledge of good and evil affects the humankind and how Jesus came into this world, redeem us and brought us back to Him.

The book is wonderful! I was amaze on how the author reenact the scenes from Genesis where God created the man, Adam. It was like reading a part of him living his every day life after God created him. I also wondered how nice it would be if I see and walk with God literally and commune with Him everyday.

"That afternoon, he took the lamb back to the river to show it his reflection, but Lively was not the least bit interested, and Adam realized—sadly— there would be many things he could not share with his little friend" I was struck in this paragraph, the feeling of being alone is really sucks. Adam knew that he is far different from everything that surrounded him. God also knew from the start what is lacking, He sees our desires and needs before we start to ask Him.

When we inherited the knowledge of good and evil from our ancestor, Adam, the feeling of nakedness has appeared. We became vulnerable and ashamed of being naked. That's why some of us has the need to clothed ourselves of wealth, education or fame to persuade ourselves that we are no longer feel vulnerable if we have these things. But if we pursue these things, we become more dissatisfied and vulnerable because it is not enough. That's why we need not to look up into these things because it will not give us satisfaction, only God can fill the void in our hearts. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:2)

What is little-faith? Little-faith is different from small faith, a faith that is like a mustard seed which can even move mountains. Because small faith unlike little-faith is pure and genuine. It has the ability to grow to a great faith, to transform a person from old to new. It will change your outlook, it strengthens your character which helps you become the man/woman God wants you to be. It will make the impossible become possible. When challenged or tempted, you will not be swayed or wavered easily because you are forge by real faith. Little-faith, however, is not real. A faith who stops believing of moving mountains , you stop wanting to try to believe because it will be impossible for you. I was also struck in this certain topic because I feel like this topic is talking to me. I pray but I am still anxious. I did not believe that my prayers will be answered, a sign of little-faith. God rewarded those who have a mustard seed faith. Faith which you still trust God in the midst of impossibilities and believing that everything will be alright in the end. The Lord clothes all believers in His righteousness through the relationship of faith. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrew 11:1)

Amazing grace (how sweet the sound) that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see.
– John Newton (1779)

I really like this worship song! It never fails to give me goosebumps everytime I heard and sing of it. The lyrics is also the life story of the song writer, from lost to found, was blind indeed but now, he sees. That exactly what we are when we are living life without God. Life without God is miserable, empty, full of void. That's why we are so blessed that God knock into our hearts and open our eyes. How precious did that grace appears, the hour I first believed. Grace is when God gives us good things that we don't deserve. It delivers us from afflictions or adversity. It also denotes enablement, daily guidance, forgiveness, and preservation. You never know how much God loves us until even His son did not spare Him to die to our sins on the cross.

I will give this book 4 stars out of 4. I like how the questions were included because when you finish reading the certain topic, you can answer those questions based on how you perceive that topic. You will know yourself how deep your understanding of that topic would be. I also like the way the author included the testimonies of his and his wife, showing both their struggles and achievement of knowing Christ. Knowing their life is also knowing Christ through them. They have inspired so many people through this book.
