The mece muse by Christie Lindor is a book on consultancy, that provides practical experience and guides for those who aspiring to get into consulting, or are already in the middle of it, and even professionals willing to learn more unique ideas on how to become better consultant.

Christie Lindor provide a proper understanding of how to become a great consultant. She also explain that great consultant carry themselves with confidence, charisma, and authentic purpose. She further explain that great consultant sometimes also suffer from impostor syndrome, but they don't allow those fears and insecurities to drive their career.

This book is educational and helps a lot to understand the mindset of great consultant. I learnt that to become great consultant, you have to practice basic skill over and over again, just like an athlete that spend time in between games and in the off season, doing basic drill or keeping up a nutrition plan to stay in peak condition. If you really want to learn more about mindset of great consultant, I think you need to get a copy of this book.

I also like that the author share some important goals to become a great consultant, and the most unique one for me Is that to become great consultant you must become trusted advisor. I learnt that it is base on trust that people allow you to advise them. The author also help the reader to answer the question ,why you want to choose consulting profession as a career, and what type of consulting profession you would like to go into. She also share some secret weapon to fast track your consulting career. She further explain in this book that manners and etiquette must be your competitive advantage, since consulting is all about relationship.

Another thing I like about the book, is the author providing series of consulting leaders interview with top CEO's, and partners in consulting industry. This book provide practical testimony of people who have encounter one challenge or the other in their consulting career and how they deal with them. The book provide bulky experiences on how to handle challenges that can ever arise during consulting career.

If you have ever struggled in your consulting career, or you have you are in the middle of your consulting career, or you are just about to start and you might even be a professional willing to gain more ideas on how to become great consultant, I highly recommend this book for you. I rate this book 4 out of 4, for the immense understanding and knowledge it provides on how to become great consultant.
