Review of Snatched Up to Heaven!
Snatched Up to Heaven! by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul is a fascinating book that reminded me so much of my growing-up days. Most parents or adults do not take kids' visions seriously. I have come to realize that kids are the most readily available people God uses to pass his messages. There are many instances in the Bible, but the focus of this book is on the vision of two amazing kids.
The visions of Priyanka and Deepika started on a night when they were sleeping, and their souls were carried to heaven by angels. They happened to meet Jesus and God, and in some of the dreams, they were bigger. While reading, there was an interchange of dreams and visions, so I kept wondering, was there a difference between the two? Shortly after that, I happened to come across the part where the author gave a clear explanation of the two terms. This book is just beyond the visions; there is a lot more that will awe you in this book.
When you tell someone about a vision or dream you have, it might sound amusing to them. This is normal, and I get it. The revelation of John is a testament to this; there were many things John described in his visions that, in human understanding, are unbelievable. That is where interpretation comes in. I don’t think this book would have flowed well for me if there was no interpretation because this helped me to connect to the dreams and visions and helped me understand them better. I loved how the author was able to use instances from the scriptures to back up the dreams. The author’s writing style was intriguing and easy to understand. I also love the cover page; it was colorful and inviting, and the editing was excellent, as I noticed just a single error.
The book starts for me was a bit sudden and wasn’t very captivating. I think for a book like this, we need to have an introduction of the characters involved. Furthermore, there was no table of contents, which made it difficult for me to navigate. Based on these flaws, I will rate this book four out of five stars. I also would recommend this book to Christians.
