In both Biblical and historical context, Daniel Friedmann in his book entitled “Roadmap to the End of Days” gave an elaborate image of time before, today, and tomorrow. The book talks about events that took place, taking place and will take place with a taste of theological perspective. Historical events were described as same events that happened as narrated by the Bible. Patterns of these events were presented and explanations were provided why these events took place. And an attempt to explain what is in for us in the future was also presented. Consequently, information are well documented showing data of events in the ancient times.
But one good thing about this book is that information was carefully studied and presented with enough authority. Eventually the reader will be left thinking if what is presented could be true or not true. It is commendable that, Mr. Friedmann, I can tell, truly did a great research with our history and that he really had an intensive study with the scriptures. His claims were supported with historical data.
These historical data were presented in a way that controversial ideas are present in the book. These ideas will truly challenge the belief of those people with different theological perspectives. The book bravely taken into account ideas about a topic that may stir debates. Undoubtedly, the author was brave to tell the world his own point of view despite of the possibility of being questioned for his credibility knowing that countless theories were given about the end of the world.
Upon reading the book, a reader will be left to reassess his own perspective. Yes, the book was written in a way that the reader is left to either question his own beliefs or question what the author is trying to explain. It really stirs the reader’s mind. It is advisable to those readers who love to practice metacognition. Therefore, people who are not into activities involving analysis may not enjoy the book.
I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. The book was actually written intelligently but there are some ideas that were repeatedly explained. The reader may just try to flip the page and skip reading some pages. The book is advisable to those individuals who seek answers to questions about life, the meaning of our existence, and the future. Nonbelievers may as well enjoy reading this but at some point, they might find it so opposing.
