In The Eve Code, Mariett Ramm avoids the expert position to deliver her message through intimate conversations with readers who share her life experiences. The first thing you notice about the book is its personal message about authentic self-empowered femininity. According to the author, her primary goal with this work is straightforward. She opens with a statement of purpose:

“My intention with this book is simple. As the Chief Empowerment Officer and Chairperson of The Powerful Woman, I want to empower millions of women around the globe.”

This book avoids instructional methods to present a guidance system that explains women's current cycles and self-knowledge framework. She shares her "extraordinary ability to sense human vibrations and feelings at the most fundamental level" with brutal honesty, which makes the entire experience very real and deeply interesting. The difficulties women encounter motivate me to listen to the messages she shares.

The book is made as a trip for ladies of self-discernment, and it takes its time to investigate various segments. She begins with analyzing the world of corporate where classic feminine traits are utilized (and misused), referring to them as those classic feminine traits of intuition, compassion, and nurturing love. The fact that she takes the time to honor both the masculine and the feminine gave me the impression that she was aiming for balance. Her explanation of why we sometimes are “our own worst enemies” caused me to take a step back and look at how I behave. Really makes you think, and she challenges the notion that “self-acceptance is indolence, or lack of initiative.” She’ll go to great lengths to explain to us what is going on with our biology, with all the scientific explanation of hormones and cycles. I understand this, but beyond this, she would occasionally feel a bit too technical, as if trying to stuff it into a course on hormones rather than merely sharing a feeling. The breakdown of the biology was quite an impressive breakdown, but I am not a scientific person, and sometimes the information felt like a lecture.

What she uses as a metaphor for the “valley” (the “womb”) is done in such a powerful way that it just makes you stop and think and rethink a lot of things you never really thought were important about your biology. She also provides practical advice and presents solutions you can act on, as in the case of the ‘downward cycle’ and how to pull yourself up. She delves into the role of the brain and limbic system, and then she brings it all back home with insights from ancient wisdom, such as Taoism. When she gets to the section about our menstrual cycle and how "tracking your cycle also enables you to live in harmony with your mind and body... It dismantles the belief that you need to be productive on the days when your body is really fighting for its right to rest without guilt," I start seeing my own body through a completely different lens.

The presentation of technical elements stands as the one element that I would suggest improvement in her work. While she exhibits solid knowledge, it would have been more effective if she had shared her personal stories as examples because it would have made the content more accessible despite its lecture-like quality. The extensive amount of exploration in the book left me overwhelmed. I am a reader who prefers texts with less weight and a smoother flow yet acknowledges this could be my personal preference. Though I acknowledge that this book is truly outstanding. The sheer dedication behind this book’s production does not diminish my desire to express my thoughts. I simply want to highlight ways that I felt it could be further enhanced for my own personal reading preference.

So I give The Eve Code 5 out of 5 stars, all things considered. Ramm's profoundly moving way of merging personal experiences, practical advice, and a spiritual understanding of being a woman. I absolutely believe this book is essential reading for every woman wanting to know her power and place in the world. Not only solutions and a new perspective of how we should be looking at cycles and our authentic selves.
