Zsa Zsa Tudos’s book, 5 Secrets of the Matrix: The True Core of Self Development is a dense and heavy read. This is written for the college level reader and/or those who read about esoteric subjects. There is much weight packed into these pages which are evenly divided into five sections excluding the foreword and afterward.
There are many concepts presented that it was sometimes hard to assimilate all the detailed information. The ages of the sun, astrology, pivotal moments in the shift of the planets and their influence with some healthy recipes based on planetary energies thrown in to boot! The author prefaces the book with the hope that the reader will come away with five different concepts. This seemed like an easy challenge at first, but there’s so much historical and cosmological information packed in here, it was not easy to pull out what I thought were the five most important concepts.

So, I chose one because it seemed the most relevant. “It is easy to get lost on the road to fulfillment” (Tudos). Perhaps one reason could be that one’s ego can get in the way of the journey itself, which harkens to a saying about taking the journey for its own sake and not for the sake of the destination. And, we are all on a journey as "earthlings" whether we are open to changing the course we are on or not. Being informed of choices is a good thing and Tudos asks the reader to closely look at their choices and take control of them as best as one can.

The beginning of this book looks at the “soul and its journey” which helps ground the reader with a deep understanding of their ability to seek more information for themselves around the soul and its complexities. The heart of this book seeks to help those who desire to understand themselves and the world around them and be better “earthlings” in the process. This is not easy because of a myriad of distractions in our fast-paced, highly technological environment which compete for our attention. We are living beings of energy in a world which is interrelated and finding our way by serving to understand ourselves, others and our own role in this journey.
