An exhilarating life story of Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, a highly placed Algerian diplomat and scientist, "A Dream for Peace" unfolds the peregrination of a brilliant man in his country and many other parts of the world, playing outstanding roles in diplomatic and scientific research. From his early involvement in the Algerian struggle for decolonization to his later efforts in promoting peace between Israel and Palestine, Berrah's life was marked by unremittingly dogged pursuit of his ideals. In his book, Berrah gives personal anecdotes and impressions from meetings with world leaders.

This is a really engrossing and inspiring book, an insight into the life of an undoubtedly great man. It is worth feeling how strongly Berrah is attached to the house of his country and how tightly committed he is to peace. His personal stories and reflections really help to understand intricate life details about international relations and their rendering of social justice. In other words, his memoir is also a curious historical document. He gives first-hand testimony about important events, giving readers an insight into the workings of international diplomacy and the complicated issues of global politics. His meetings with world leaders and his involvement in peace negotiations give a personal insight into opportunities unique to his time. The book also shows how he was credited with making a formidable contribution to the understanding of the "reverse transcriptase enzyme."

The book deserves 5 out of 5 stars. I literally have nothing to say bad about this book, but it is quite a lengthy read. I found some errors while reading. This book is a valuable addition to the literature on international relations and diplomacy. It is a fascinating and inspiring memoir that offers a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs of a remarkable individual. If you love politics and memoirs, this book is highly recommended.
