Are you one of those millions out there that are? seeking to gain true happiness? Do you have everything and still feel like there's something missing? If you are, then The Pursuit of Happiness, written by Paul Lucas Scott, is just what you need.
It is an inspiring and instructive book that will have you questioning everything that you have ever known about happiness and what it entails. The most common question you will find yourself asking is what is true happiness and how can I achieve it. The author explains and educates us on what it means to be truly happy and further advises us that there are two types of happiness, one being Hedonic happiness and the other being Eudaimonic happiness. Paul explains the difference between these two different types of happiness, one being personal happiness, where a person can gain happiness in simple things such as spending time with family or going on vacation, while the other type of happiness is gained by success and material things.

The book begins with a little insight into the author's life and an introduction of what happiness is. Paul lists the different reasons that can lead to unhappiness and unfulfillment. The book is extremely informative, and the exercises that the author advises the reader to do are quite simple and can be implemented in our everyday lives.

The author has done an extensive amount of research and utilizes multiple personals as examples throughout the book. I love the way that the author uses his own life experiences to support his theories about how both Hedonic and Eudaimonic happiness together can bring fulfillment to one's life.

There was nothing to dislike about the book. It was well edited, and I did not encounter any errors within the book; hence, I rate it a 5 out of 5.

This book is recommended to both young and old readers looking to find true happiness in their lives. The book is one that will help you, the reader, identify the problems that lead to unhappiness and also provide solutions for them as well.
