Review of Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book
The book is aptly titled "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book” and it is authored by Kalliope Barlis, and it is perfect for any level of golfing enthusiast. This 5-star book is a great resource for fine-tuning an individual’s golf performance and explores strategies in the enhancement process by using Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Barlis goes through a lot of effort to integrate her understanding of NLP and golf skills to produce an informative and inspiring book.
The book consists of three parts: Using Your Brain, Practicing Golf, and Playing Golf. The first part is about mindset more than swing. Barlis discusses the power of the mind to boost confidence and concentration and how to cope with pressure. Her techniques are unorthodox, and she skillfully makes the audience believe that the key to success in golf is mental strength.
The second part of the book addresses efficient practice routines. Barlis is interested in methods and specific exercises to achieve the goal in the shortest possible time. She covers essential technical aspects such as grip, swing mechanics, and putting, ensuring that readers have a solid foundation to build upon. Her teachings are well articulated so that each step is comprehensible to the learners, even if they are beginners.
In the last part, Barlis provides the readers with tips that can guide them in real gameplay experiences. She provides suggestions on how to handle a course and apply the mental strategies from the earlier sections in real life. This approach makes it easy for the readers to apply the knowledge they are getting in the book directly into the game.
While there are many books out there that teach golf, this one stands out due to the psychological points of view presented in it. Barlis analyzes such crucial aspects of a golfer’s mentality as focus, confidence, and mental stamina to offer practical steps to improve performance. I find her writing style easy to follow, and she writes interesting, and motivating, and presents even complicated ideas.
While "Play Golf Better Faster: However, there are several areas where “The Little Golf Bag Book” stands out and some readers may consider the strong focus on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) unorthodox for a golfing manual. Moreover, readers interested in more technical details may want more comprehensive coverage. Still, in acknowledgment of the value of the book and how it can transform everyone for the better, I proceed to give the book a 5-star rating.
The editing and writing style of the book is masterful i did not find any typos or punctuation errors, and I gave it 5 out of 5 stars.
Overall, "Play Golf Better Faster: I believe that every golfer should read “The Little Golf Bag Book” to improve his or her performance on the field. NLP techniques are used throughout the book but Barlis also offers functional tips on how to improve golf from a physical and mental standpoint for the reader.
