The end times and coming of Christ are topics Christians have engaged in over the years, with each person sharing his or her view. L.D. Swift, in his biblical book, talked about the second coming of Christ, the resurrection, judgment, and the end times. He used biblical passages to explain the eschatology of the Christian era. Swift analyzed various viewpoints about eschatology, such as Amillennialism, which holds the view that God inaugurated the kingdom at Christ's resurrection. The author also gave an analysis of views such as postmillennialism, dispensational premillennialism, full pessimism, and partial pessimism. In the later parts of the book, the author laments criticism and support for each one of these attempts to use biblical scriptures and prophecies to support his claim.

Because of the author's wise lessons, I enjoy this book. He presented eschatological ideas in a fair-minded manner, providing both justification and critique and supporting all of his points with substantial data. For me, one of the most noteworthy things was the framework he offered for differentiating between truth and deception. I found the seven rules he gave to be very useful in enhancing objectivity. In addition, until I read this book, I had a poor understanding of Daniel's prophecies. The author's interpretation of these prophecies was lucid and straightforward, making difficult concepts simple to understand. All in all, the book has greatly expanded my knowledge and appreciation of these subjects, and I heartily suggest it to anyone wishing to learn more about biblical prophecy and eschatology.

I'll rate this book five out of five stars. The author's clear interpretations of eschatological viewpoints, as well as her simple reading of Daniel's prophecies, were particularly impressive. His seven rules for evaluating truth, paired with his balanced criticism and encouragement, were particularly astute. Nothing in this book could be disliked. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about eschatology and biblical prophecy. Any serious theology student should read this book. This book was exceptionally edited.
