Making a successful living in the USA is a dream for many, who immigrate to the country in search of their American Dream. Fabian Videla, the author of Breaking the Mold: Remodeling Your Way to Success, is one such immigrant from Argentina who succeeded in realizing his 'American Dream.'
His story is intertwined with an elaborate guide to build a successful entrepreneurship. The book is an engaging read from the beginning itself, capturing our imagination on the life of a young boy and his business acumen right from childhood.
The author narrates how he converted his ideas into reality and made enough money to help his family. He failed, learnt from his failures and succeeded in his businesses because of the lessons learnt. The support of his family members was also crucial for the success of his ideas. His stories were fascinating enough to keep me hooked to the book. It was a pleasant surprise that this non-fiction was not at all tedious to read and comprehend. The author has presented a dry subject like construction business with a good sense of humor.
The author gives point-to-point guidelines to set up a business, keep both employees and customers satisfied and also take it to the next level by training others in business. He created a model called 'Smarter Remodeling 360 Solutions' to help others shape their businesses with suggestions and ideas from team members.
Though the book deals extensively on construction business and suggestions related to it, entrepreneurs of all types can apply those ideas to their field easily. It is a great book even for those who are not in the business field, to understand human nature and improve their relationships. I rate the book four out of four stars for its ability to engage readers and guide them towards a thriving business and a prosperous life.
