The eye opening non-fiction book "Who told you that you were naked?" By: William Combs is a creative twist on Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis. It begins talking about Adam and Eve, how the apple was eaten and they both became aware of their nakedness once the Lord came looking for them. The book in it's entirety is well thought out , the author obviously was well versed in the book of Genesis . William put his thoughts together in a very sophisticated and respectful manner. I appreciate a fresh yet respectful approach when talking about the Bible. William makes you second guess things that have been discussed within the Christian religion.

Cain and Abel are also discussed, the author comes to the defense of Cain, saying that Satan was not the cause of the murder of Abel it was more so the relationship Cain had with Abel that drove him to it. The author retells stories in the bible with a fresh perspective. Any woman or man that is a follower of the Lord this would be a great book to read. Even if you aren't a follower of Christ and are looking to be, this could be great for you. I appreciated the discussion questions and end notes. I am not surprised how amazing this book is because William is a retired minister. He clearly is very knowledgeable.

My favorite chapter was 6 where Jesus redeems us for our sins. Perhaps this is my favorite because our souls would not be saved without the only son of God dying for us on the cross. Chapter 8 is another one to look forward to , a lot of times we blame people that cause us problems or situations that do the same. William talks about how "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood." Why we shouldn't put so much blame on others and situations we end up in. William provides us with references to scripture and personal stories.

With his words William paints a visual picture for the reader. Which I absolutely loved I appreciate being able to see exactly what I'm reading in my mind's eye. Anybody looking for a twist on the chapters you may have read in the Bible , I recommend this book to you.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars. I was able to see things in a way I wasn't able to before reading this. His interpretations are just mind blowing.
