The book is a non fiction book written by William E Combs a retired Presbyterian church minister.
The christian story of creation in Genesis chapters one and two and the origin of sin in chapter three as we christians believe in .The book gives a detailed account basically from the orighin of sin.The author narrates what may have actually happened with the creation of Adam .The Lord gave Adam the authority of naming other animals as his earthly companions but none was like him thus he was lonely. As a result God made a woman from his rib and when presented to him he acknowledged as one of his kind and names her Eve
Sin comes in when thewoman is deceived by the serpent into eating the fruit at the centre of the garden of which they were prohibited from eating. She gives the fruit to Adam who also eats it. The realisation of nakedness comes in after this.
When the Lord comes i to visit they hid from him and when asked, Adam responds, "I heard the sound of you walking in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself". This is where the title of the book comes in, "Who told you that you were naked"
From the authors point of view realisationof nakedness comes in after eating the fruit .Adam and Eve were naked at the start but did not know since God made them garments after they had sinned meaning before that they had no clothing.
With the origin of sin, God starts his plan of salvation .On the other hand the three, Adam,Eve and the serpent had their consequences. Sin also continues to crouch in when Cain the firstborn of Adam kills his brother Abel. The plan of salvation is accomplished with the crucification of Jesus and his resurrection.
The author puts his work in away that depicts the normal way of life .This makes the book interesting to read. The author also includes testimonies on how satan reveals himself today. With this you get a better understanding of the context of sin and nakedness in the Garden of Eden.
The author also uses small sub topics in his discussion .At the end of each and every chapter there are study question that helps in understanding the book. I give the book a rating of 4 out of 4 because there were minimal mistakes in the book which do not hinder the reading of the book. I highly recommend the book to any one willing to read that this book is outstanding
