Quest: Finding Freddie by Thomas Richard Spradlin explores the tragic and enigmatic disappearance of Frederick David Nachman, popularly known as "Freddie."

On a certain day, Mr. Frederick went missing as he was nowhere to be found in the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, where he checked in. He is the owner of Nachman International Trading Corporation, and he traveled to finalize a five-year telecom agreement between his business and the Nigerian government. Taking advantage of the Jewish Sabbath, Mr. Nachman left his hotel room and never came back. Because of some political issues, Mr. Nachman, a Jew, is in an environment where there is some anger and emotion towards the Jewish population. This made it rather terrifying. Frederick's wife was so upset over the situation that she hired Mr. Thomas Richard Spradlin, an attorney from the Clifford and Warnke law office, right away to look for her husband and maybe bring him back home. Taking the lead, Mr. Spradlin returned to Lagos to look for Mr. Frederick Nachman. Was he able to find him? Get a copy of the book to find out.

There are many positive aspects I found in the book. I would begin with the fact that the way the author describes the events in this book is just astounding. He possesses an intuitive ability to not only describe the events but also deftly include the emotions and reactions of the many parties involved. Because of the multi-layered approach, I was able to thoroughly immerse myself in the story and experience the flow of emotions that the people involved in the case went through with each new development. Nwando's account of how she ended up as a sex worker in Lagos drew me in on an emotional level. For me, it hurt the most because it was not a pleasant experience.

I did not dislike any aspect of this book, and this is because the characters, storyline, narrative, and delivery were all compelling and well-represented. Due to privacy concerns, several characters' first names were changed; however, this does not take anything away from the plot. But while reading it, I noticed some errors in the book, which shows it was professionally edited. I'm giving the book a rating of five out of five stars because of its positive aspects. I recommend the book to readers who enjoy adventure, history, and political fiction. They should definitely check it out because it's a book they would enjoy reading.
