Book: Unsettled Disruption by Juana Catalina Rodriguez.

Meticulously structuring her guide into four parts: "What and Why," "The Framework," "Proven Experience," and "The Future," Rodriguez provides valuable insights and very clear directions for any organization wanting to leverage the power of innovation.

Part I: What and Why

Rodriguez sets the all-important stage that disruptive innovation is about to rock the old school. Technology is pushing virtual revolutions every which way. From working with her Stanford MBA students on capstone change-the-world projects that fully utilize the4IR, she convincingly shouts at the end of the first chapter that "changes are coming fast, and businesses that don't embrace them will not survive." And that, she says, is "Business Rule Number One." She lays out the cultural, economic, and demographic factors that are driving major change and discusses three replacement and five growth engines, which are both immediate and compelling. She also dives deeply into something even cooler: that harnessing the power of our new technologies can soar a business to new heights.

Part II: The Framework

The book's core is in its second part, where Rodriguez lays out a strong and yet familiar framework for how to think about (and act upon) disruptive innovation. She describes a process forged in several parts: identifying disruption trends, understanding their industry impact, and using those insights to see the basic customer jobs that aren't being served well. That disruption, by the way, is not just a technology-driven change; it's a force with a far-reaching impact. It's part of what makes the book not just a specific guide but a general, usable recipe for any kind of business that wants to think hard about (and seize) the power of disruptive innovation.

The accounts of businesses that have failed, or mostly failed, to deal effectively with disruption are just as enlightening. ... And there is a special section just on 2020 that deals with how the businesses that we take for granted have stepped up and have honored their social contracts, making us proud of capitalism.

The final chapter ties together all the parts of the book, showing how businesses can connect the dots and use the innovations discussed as a part of a powerful whole..

Seeing and noting the Key Themes and Concepts of this book brings me joy.

Purpose-Driven Innovation: Rodriguez strongly emphasizes the idea that innovation does not happen in a vacuum and that it is vital to have a clearly articulated business strategy and goals.

• Systematic Process: Just as the game of baseball is played by a prescribed set of rules (three strikes and you’re out; a two-strike change happens from the160-degree angle; etc.), the systemic task of impacting can't- do-without norms (anything that gets in the way head on).

I have no complain to deduct star from the book and perfect editing of the book is absouletely fine.

Conclusion

The valuable resource that is "Unsettled Disruption" can give business leaders and innovators a definite edge over their competitors. They can get it by reading and applying the lessons of Juana-Catalina Rodriguez's book. This is a comprehensive, up-to-date, and above all, clear guide to the terrain of disruptive innovation—a methodology that's not just about bringing the new to old industries, but as the book shows, a way of using change-driving principles to achieve and sustain the next level of evolution in business. Overall, this is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand and harness the power of disruptive innovation.
