Who Told You That You Were Naked by William Combs is an interesting, enlightening and captivating Bible Commentary. It’s an amazing eye opener and makes one to think critically as a Christian. William Combs is a retired Presbyterian minister.

Who Told You That You Were Naked is a re-examination of how sin came into the world through Adam and how God has redeemed us by His grace through faith. The knowledge of good and evil we inherited from Adam is a dimension of our intellect, it is virtually impossible to avoid. William Combs give a critical analysis of the first verses of the Book of Genesis, mainly concentrating with verse 3; the fall of man. He gives a narrative before each discussion, a narrative of what he thinks might have happened in the Garden of Eden before and after the fall of man. He also discusses the relationship between God and man both before and after the fall of man.

William Combs gives his own understanding of the events in the Garden of Eden, the reasons for God’s actions after Adam and Eve disobeyed Him and His nature. William Combs has broken away from the stereotype Bible Commentary and has made Who Told You That You Were Naked not only an interesting but also a very encouraging book.

I liked the way William Combs started his book with a narrative of his own life as a child. The way he makes sure to engage his readers and write his book in a way that is easy to understand. The incorporation of discussion questions is an additional bonus and is very thoughtful of him.

William Combs has made sure that his book is engaging and interesting. He has made sure to actively engage his readers. He has added discussion questions at the end of every chapter which ensure that the reader actually understands what is discussed in the chapter. He has incorporated several Bible verses that act as reference points and help the reader understand and relate to the topic of discussion. The book has flawless grammar, well-structured sentences and language that is easy to understand.

Who Told You That You Were Naked is an amazing and enlightening Bible commentary. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to all Christians; both new to the faith and those who have been saved for a long period. William Combs is a really good author that knows exactly how to engage and connect to his readers.
