Sex and the Sixty-Something Guy by Mr.X

'Sex and the Sixty-Something Guy' is a non-fiction book by pseudonymous author and Manhattan businessman Mr. X. Throughout my life, I always avoided books with spicy titles, so I chose this one only for a new experience.

In this book, the author shows the midlife dating after divorce in a humorous way. The author frankly describes his dating experiences with sixty-four women after his divorce. He also shares his sexual relations with some of those women. He talks about skin colour, botox treatment, laser hair removal, breast implant, vaginal fillers, viagra etc. as part of his dating journey. He makes his readers aware of STDs and various dating apps to make their dating and romance easy.

The author keeps some rigid and masculine standpoints to judge a woman. Except for a few cases, he abandons his dates without knowing them properly. His attitude shows his nature of objectifying women. But he did not want to be a sugar daddy to some young lady and dated mainly elderly women.

The author shows off his wealth throughout his writing. Because of his wealth and professional success, he sometimes becomes too judgmental about women. So, finding an ideal partner after his divorce seems illusionary to him. However, he earned a lot of experience in this field.

I greatly enjoyed the author’s easy and candid writing style. His ultimate realization about online dating resonates with my feelings. So, it provides additional satisfaction.

Mr. X portrays the women vividly with their names, ages, height, ethnicity, skin colours, accents, and careers but fails to disclose his real name which makes his character shady to his readers. The detailed erotic descriptions are not my cup of tea and I felt quite uneasy while reading.

The book lacks professional editing and I could find some major errors. I like to give this book a rating of 3 out of 5 stars because of its strong chauvinistic approach towards women. I like to recommend this book to those who want to gain some muscle in the field of online dating.
