Who Told You That You Were Naked? I was captivated by the onset of this book. Why? William Combs was able to hold the attention of his readers by reflecting on past experience before bringing them back to the present as it relates to the Garden of Eden and sin.

This book is showing God’s plans, his love and his grace for us as sinners. It is so well illustrated that it allows one to feel as if they are actually in the Garden of Eden. Often times there are some dramatizations of scenes that after a while I realized did not actually happen, but then the author brings us back to the Bible by quoting a scripture verse.

As I read and the deeper I got into the book I established that a lot of research was done extensively. Combs shows us that sin carries a penalty, yet there is God’s ever flowing love for us. After Adam and Eve sinned they became wise to their nakedness and hid. God showed compassion and clothed them. It is so touching how God seeks man when he has fallen and redeems them through his love.

Christians would definitely love Who Told You That You Were Naked? as well as non-Christians alike, especially those seeking to redeem themselves in righteousness. God and his glory is seen in Williams writing. What is really intriguing is that throughout the book William Combs provided his readers with tools that were necessary for them to get the most out of reading this book. He not only made reference to biblical verses throughout each chapter but also took time to include them in his inspiring writing. As a skilled and competent writer he uses scriptures from the New Testament and combines them with the Old Testament to highlight the magnitude of suffering, faith, healing, forgiveness, redemption and most of all to remind us that God’s presence is still there.

Persons who find the King James’ Version of Genesis hard to understand can read this book with ease and comfort. In the world we live in with so much technology, this book should be on every ipad, computer and cell phone. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. For those who have misconceptions of God and hunger for righteousness, I strongly recommend this book. Awesome book!
