During the initial lockdown phase of COVID-19, there was widespread panic around the world and depletion of essential goods from stores as people were stocking up on goods, which further led to insufficiency for others as they could not buy goods for their daily needs. Emergency preparedness could mitigate such a panic situation. So, how do we prepare ourselves for the worst? You can find the answers in The Ultimate Prepared Bug-In Guide by S. Lee.

This book addresses all the issues that arise out of an economic collapse or environmental hazards, and it also helps the readers navigate through the troubled waters with ease. The author presented the topics in a step-wise, orderly fashion. This approach provides clarity on the subject. The author provides ways to procure basic needs like food, water, shelter, and medical care and also prepares the reader for self-defense.

The author answers critical dilemmas in an emergency situation, such as when to bug out and when to stay at home. I was pleasantly surprised when he included a list of emergency supplies needed for your pet during such a crisis. I have learned new things from this book, such as how to make potable water, the FIFO technique, and the importance of bargaining in a crisis, among other interesting things. The author gives examples of past historic events to underline the need for a well-prepared survival strategy. Key events like the Irish Potato Famine, the economic collapse of Russia in 1998, and the volcanic eruption of Mount. Tambora in 1815 helped in this regard.

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this book. I do not have any criticisms or suggestions for this book. This book helps all the readers prepare themselves for the worst. The author also provides various websites at the end of the book that can level up your emergency planning. Adults and teenagers would benefit the most from this book. The author surely got his book proofread, as I could only find a single error. I’m glad to have read this book, and, therefore, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
