Who told you that you were Naked? is more than just historical documentation of biblical story, it is a spiritual dissection of event that happened in the garden of Eden, through which sin and death entered the world and it understanding through the new testament, as the old testament was a reflection of gospel which manifested in the new testament.
..... God did says,'you must not eat, fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden and you must not touch it or you will die' but the day they ate the fruit of the tree, they were not physically dead rather, their eyes were opened as devil do told Eve.Did God lied to them? Indeed, they died that very day but how did they died? what kind of death did they underwent? The understanding of these spiritual concept can only come by revelation of the spirit. This is exactly, what William E. Combs relate to us in his book, who told you that you were Naked.
William E. Combs was a doctor of ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary and presbyterian minister for many years teaching biblical concept before he retired hence, there is no much surprise on his mastery handling of this spiritual concept.
The book, who told you that you were naked, explain how death came into the world through sin,how God has redeemed us from the power of sin and bring us into a close relationship with Him through faith in Christ Jesus, the only means by which we can obtain righteousness and become free from the power of sin.
The way the story of the garden of Eden was narrated, was very interesting,he narrate it like his own story not as hand on story or the usual Bible story we see in most Bible study book which is full of many Bible references. Anyone that like reading novel will really enjoy it.
Moreover, the questions provided at the end of each chapter is helpful in accessing one's understanding of the concept discussed in each chapter. It is preferable to read the questions before reading the full chapter, this gives you forehand knowledge concerning things to expect in the chapter.
This book is good for anyone who is seeking revelation on how to have good relationship with God.
I rate this book four out of four since I think the book gives insight on how to live a sinless life and have good relationship with God through faith in Christ Jesus.
