480 Codorus Street Book II: Trials and Tribulations is a memoir by Sandra L. Kearse-Stockton. It is the second installment in the 480 Codorus Street series.

This book series is an emotional life journey of a young Negro girl who started her journey in Pennsylvania in the 1940s. This book covers a period from 1973 to 1988. This period tests Sandra's tolerance capacity against life's unpredictable challenges. Her thoughts and actions become a form of resistance against societal norms. Throughout her struggles, she seeks consolation, encouragement, understanding, and a way to adapt to her past.

This book expresses an authentic and unfiltered version of Sandra L. Kearse-Stockton's past. It explores the clear line between punishment and abuse. Sandra recalls her abusive relationship with her father and husband. Her trauma, struggles, battles, vulnerabilities, and victory add layers to the narrative and attract the readers. They will relate to the situations and feel the emotions. The whole narrative forces readers to confront their own beliefs about kindness and right or wrong opinions.

The author, Sandra L. Kearse-Stockton, is the main highlight of the book. She describes ‘healing and hope' as the central theme. Her struggles and emotional journey provide readers with a sense of authenticity. Her writing style and description make it relatable to the readers.

Overall, 480 Codorus Street Book II: Trials and Tribulations by Sandra L. Kearse-Stockton is an inspirational book that justifies the hardships she has encountered and overcome. This book provides a personal narrative, a different perspective toward societal norms, a roller coaster of emotions, an unforgettable journey, and an unbreakable human spirit.

It has smooth writing and a well-structured plot. I didn’t find any mistakes in the book. Thus, the editor has done proper editing of it. This book does not have any negative aspects. I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I will recommend it to those individuals seeking motivation in life.
