Various small scientific studies have suggested that skipping breakfast may carry several adverse consequences, including weight gain, elevated blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, development of diabetes, and increased risk of heart disease. Although we can correlate skipping breakfast with various unfavorable outcomes, that does nothing? to prove a cause and effect relationship between the two. Do people who skip breakfast possess other traits such as intermittent snacking that predispose to these various health risks? And would merely adding breakfast to one's ordinary eating habits produce the universal health benefits we desire? Based on various studies and surveys, the author is helping us to understand the benefits as well as dangers of skipping breakfast. This is one of the many issues that he has talked about in this wonderful book.

This book is basically about health and wellness, common misconceptions about almost anything regarding our physical makeup and how we relate to the world around us. It's? also about various stratagems that are designed to take your money in exchange for useless or dangerous products or information.

I like the fact that in this book, the author has been able to scan various food products that we consume on our daily basis. Through facts, scientific studies, surveys and his own experience as a physician, he gives his honest opinion regarding these foods. For example, he has talked about green tea and it's possible health benefits. Green tea is a rich source of flavonols, compounds? that seem to benefit cardiovascular health. The most abundant and most active flavonol in green tea is epigallocatechin gallate which has the greatest potentially beneficial effects. These benefits include enhanced control of blood sugar levels through improvement of insulin utilisation by the body. Other advantages include decreased cholesterol absorption from the intestines and the lowering of blood pressure levels. He has backed this argument with recent studies which suggest that green tea consumption significantly reduced the incidence and complications of cardiovascular disease and helped to reduce blood sugar levels, contributing to better management of the diabetic state. In conclusion, the author tells us that since it's a matter of taste, it may not be for everyone. If you like this product, however, especially if you are diabetic or at risk for later development of cardiovascular disease, consider regular consumption of green tea - unsweetened of course.

He has continued to talk about some of the foods to avoid and why to avoid them, what to eat and carefully scanning their nutritional benefits, the amount of calories some have, some of their side effects like allergies and much more.

Based on what I have read and understood, I will call this a healthy book. It's full of knowledge and extremely educative. It's like a manual for your day to day health and lifestyle. If you are unsure of what you want to eat or how it may affect your health, you will find this book useful. It's meant to serve a wide audience so I recommend it to those people who want to live and maintain a healthy lifestyle in the most honest way.

The language used is very simple and the studies seem to be precise and on point. I haven't come across any grammatical errors, spelling mistakes or editing errors. The chapter bullets however appear to be letter 'O' or zero and to be honest, they confused me. For this reason I am rating this book 3 out of 4 stars.
