The Warrior's Meditation: The Best-Kept Secret in Self-Improvement, Cognitive Enhancement, and Emotional Regulation Taught by a Master of Four Samurai Arts (Total Embodiment Method TEM) by Richard Haight is a meditational guidance plan that walks people into the process of perfecting their meditating skills. Could you imagine meditating open-eyed in the middle of work, an argument, or any other stressful situation? Well, this book will help you achieve exactly that level of calmness and clarity in everyday life. It biologically explains the functioning of each of our senses and teaches us to detach from stressful situations through numerous practical exercises. There’s no point in only reading it if you don’t follow the exact instructions. You would gain more knowledge, sure, but if you are seeking to reveal the full potential of the book, you might as well follow the guide.

The author did a great job of structuring the book, as it was easy to navigate through and its informational value was easily decipherable. I loved how continuous and logically linked each chapter was. I also liked the order in which the insights were displayed. Each chapter is followed by at least one practical exercise, if not more, that enhances the reader’s success potential. Every term and process were very well explained, so they were easy to understand. Readers will also come across deep questions that help mindfully guide you through the process. Biologically explained senses also played a great part in making the book more valuable. I loved reading about the author’s experiences and memories, as it made the book more interesting and easy-going. He seems to have a great deal of knowledge about the subject. I am overjoyed with this book. It is well-structured, practical, educational, well-written, and truly serves its purpose.

Even though I came across a few errors while reading, I still think that the book was well edited considering the amount and severity of them.

I don’t think that the typos or errors I came across are severe or many enough to deduct a star from this amazing work. I would still suggest that they re-edit it to further enhance its quality, but otherwise, the book is still perfect, and I have nothing but the best to say about it. Therefore, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend this book to people who are looking for peace in their lives and minds, have experience with meditation, or are just getting started with it.
