Who told you that you were naked? Is a book by William E. Combs. Do you know about Adam and Eve? Chances are that you probably do. You could probably narrate their whole story found in Genesis. In fact, after reading the title, the story of Adam and Eve is probably what came to your mind. Here is a book that teaches you the difference between familiarity and understanding. You are familiar with the story of creation, but do you understand its relevance to you as a Christian. How can a Christian in the 21st century apply lessons from a story written in the beginning of time, so many years ago, in their life today?

Who told you that you were naked? Is the kind of book that gives you a new perspective on life and how to walk in the light with God. It provides a new and deeper understanding of the Bible. When I started reading this book, I felt as though the Scriptures were being rewritten. I thought; I need a Bible to look for the verse where Adam watched a lioness devour an ewe. That plus a dictionary to look up words like aurora borealis. But as I read on, all my questions were answered as I realized that dramatizations have been used in the book to provide the reader with a better understanding of the Scriptures. Personal testimonies have also been used in the book. Both of these make the book interesting to read and understand. Some biblical concepts have also been explained by use of very relevant examples. This give the reader a great understanding of what the author is talking about.

The author addresses all questions that the reader might have in mind, such as the meaning of reexamining the Garden of Eden and why it is even necessary to do so. Adam and Eve realized that they were naked upon eating the forbidden fruit. What does it really mean to be naked? You will gain a whole new understanding of nakedness as relates to our life today. Upon this realization, being that nakedness brings shame, how can you clothe yourself? These questions have been answered in a profound way that brings a whole new perspective on the story of creation and gives a whole new understanding.

At the end of every chapter, study questions for discussion have been provided. These are great for use as a guideline for better understanding of the book. They are also great for Bible study where participants can critically analyze and discuss the book guided by the discussion questions.

This book will help the reader gain a deeper understanding of the Bible. Believers in The Lord Jesus Christ and all who wish to understand the Bible will love this book. In the book, you will come across these words, “….we should not in any way attempt to resist sin…” I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars; a book that explains such a statement clearly and convincingly has got to be one great book.

I agree with your review because I gained deeper understanding of not just the Garden of Eden event but on the Bible as well. Great review.
