Who Told You That You Were Naked by William E. Combs is a religious book that creates a story-line about what happen in the Garden of Eden. It is quite interesting and informative it tends to give a clearer explanation of issues which would seem confusing. Who Told You That You Were Naked tends to take you from the beginning of time, then highlights how we as humans gain our perception of spirituality and how we sell our selves short of who we were meant to be.
There are some study questions and discussion following each chapter which allows the reader to capture the essence of what one might not be clear on. Who Told You That You Were Naked was written to capitalize on readers who is interesting in studying the bible and getting a better understanding of how sin entered this world and what one can do to ensure they secure a place in the promise land.
Who Told You That You Were Naked is not the typical novel however it can prove to be insightful to individuals both religious or not and will prove to be quite interesting and provides eye opening information that we may easily over looked as a novice trying to study the bible and make sense of the many facts we find quite contradicting.
Having read through to the end I am sometimes find it too detailed giving information from various scriptures which sometimes may be too overwhelming. I think it is more like a sermon that involves giving information from all over the bible. Who Told You That You Were Naked is not the traditional novel but can prove to be interesting. The personal testimony allows one to identify with the explanation of each topic discussed. Having inserted the actual scriptures and where they can be found was also very useful as it provides clarity.
The introduction I think did not serve its intended purpose as it was not quite easy to follow what the author intended readers to grasp about the flashlight. It was quite distracting and almost prevented me reading the novel. I rate this book 2 out of 4 stars. I think this could be a real insightful book however, not everyone would agree and may find the information confusing. I think this book would appeal to person seeking religious guidance but have some background knowledge on the bible.
