In the book Play Golf Better Faster: The Classic Guide to Optimizing Your Performance and Building Your Best Fast, Kalliope Barlis explains how you can uplevel your game. Golf is a seemingly simple game, but it’s the most challenging one. This book consists of the things the author discovered over time and how they can be optimized for playing golf better.

The writer talks about how stillness plays a major part in the game. She explains about being actively still, which means your body is still but your mind is active throughout. Mindset is crucial. The author explains how you need to be in the right mindset to reach your goal. She talks about how habits play an important role in promoting consistency.

Putting yourself in the shoes of successful golfers and thinking about how they will think and act, and doing that accordingly, drastically improves your game. The writer talks about how it is important to become a creative golfer. Your ability to connect with your target or your goal changes everything. Your target should be crystal clear in your mind so that your body will coordinate with your mind to make it happen.

At the beginning of every chapter, the author used relatable quotes. I really love that. She covered every tiny aspect of golf, and she explained the basics.

It is a playbook with practical steps you can take to improve your game. This book is full of exercises that will help any golfer, beginner or intermediate, grow in their game. This book has strategies the author applied for herself and became a pro in the shortest amount of time.

The book is full of insights, and the lessons can be used in other aspects of life too. After each chapter, the writer included an exercise and steps to do it properly. A person who implements the things given in the exercises will definitely see a drastic evolution in his game. I really liked the idea of simple exercises with greater effects. You can see the expertise of the author throughout the book.

I enjoyed reading this book because I learned so many things that can be applied in regular life to make it even better.

I will give this book five out of five stars because it is professionally edited and well-written. There are no negatives. I recommend this book to aspiring golfers. They should definitely read this book, and it will help them in many ways.
