Love by Kim Sorrelle is a nonfiction book that could potentially be deemed autobiographical due to the author's own experiences. The book is inspired by the author's life; therefore, she discusses her volunteer journey to Haiti while assisting others, particularly those less fortunate. All of this while striving to follow God's example of love. Each chapter outlines a sort of love that the author seeks to embrace, following the Bible's principles, in particular Corinthians 13:4–8. "Love is patient. Love is compassionate. It is not envious, boastful, or proud.

What I like about this book is how the author tries to live and implement a specific sort of love while providing an anecdote, such as when she is attempting to integrate "love is patient" in her life. Another thing I liked the most was her conclusion at the end of the book, which summarized each sort of love.

Again, it's been a book filled with highlights on my part. Here's an example: "Love faces hurdles but perseveres. It isn't always simple, but it is always correct. This type of love, called What Would Love Do?, never fails.

I would recommend this book to young adults or adults who enjoy books with inspiring quotes and are Christians, or at least religious, because it has religious references (God, Jesus, Bible stories, and certain disciples' passages). Even though this book is written from a Christian perspective, I feel that anybody may apply some of the quotes or parts to their own lives and give them their own interpretation.

It's difficult to pick one bad point since I enjoyed the most of the book, but if I had to, it would be that I found it difficult to follow the tale at some points. I believe that some of the paragraphs were unnecessary or did not contribute significantly to the story's progression. Overall, I truly like this book and the message it tries to deliver. I adore the book and am confident that I will return to it, particularly when I am looking for answers or inspiration. It will remind me of God's messages; hence, my rating is 4 out of 5 stars.
