In our hectic daily lives, it is hard to pay attention to our physical health, let alone our mental state of mind. In 2019, 970 million people globally were living with a mental disorder, with anxiety and depression being the most common. Techniques such as yoga and meditation have been scientifically proven to alleviate such issues. In addition to being cost-effective, they also have no harmful side effects.

Richard's 15-year sojourn in Japan wasn't just a visit; it was a deep dive into the heart of the martial arts tradition. He honed his skills to the point of mastery in four distinct samurai arts. But his journey extended beyond combat, encompassing the healing art of Sotai-ho. This unique blend of warrior prowess and therapeutic knowledge cemented his position as a leading authority on traditional Japanese martial arts, respected not just for his technical expertise but also for his holistic understanding of the warrior's path.

All the methods are highly flexible and manage to mold themselves to any schedule, no matter how busy it is. While many people may find the introduction to be cumbersome, I felt that it was important in order to understand this unique concept of meditation. The book was enjoyable, giving vivid descriptions through the use of analogies and metaphors. Complex ideas and situations were brought to life with ease. Nonetheless, one must not think that the book is written based on speculation; there are many scientific studies that reinforce his teachings. Reputable sources like field studies, research, experiments, and different books were cited throughout the book. The author's bottomless knowledge about martial arts and meditation was evident through the many references made to different books and studies.

There was nothing to dislike about the book. The book was professionally edited, with no grammatical errors that I could spot.

I recommend this book to people looking for a beginner's guide to meditation, and even intermediates will benefit from it. Both adults and teenagers can enjoy the book. Considering all the above arguments, I rate The Warrior’s Meditation five out of five stars.
