Ananta Ripa Ajmera's book, The Way of the Goddess, is one that will help you in your path to spiritual liberation. She highlights the practices, rooted in the Vedic spiritual traditions, required for the journey to be successful. Dedicating a chapter to each step, she goes deep in explaining what they entail and why they are important. She offers practices that are clear and easy to follow.
It also was amazing getting insight on how her life experiences set her up to be in a place where she could share her wisdom. Each chapter contains a story of how she faced challenges and traumatic experiences in her personal life, from childhood all the way to adulthood, and how she overcame them using the same knowledge she shares in this book.
The best thing about the information in this book is how relatable it is. In her experiences you will see yourself. It is important to note that there is a good chance that some information in the book might trigger you, or even make you cry due to empathy or a remembrance of your own experiences. But in the same breathe, you will be inspired and empowered to conquer your fears, and reclaim your power that is already within you.
The editing done is excellent, there are no typos. The grammar and flow of words blend seamlessly making it a very easy and smooth read. The only downside is that the book did not realize its full potential. The information felt limited.
In conclusion, this book is a reliable guide, especially for beginners starting their journey to spiritual enlightenment. It is easily digestible, with no complicated rituals or practices. It will resonate most with those in the Hindu practice, however, the information is applicable and useful to all. Prepare to dive deeper and deeper into your being with each chapter and get ready to meet a version of you that is beyond your wildest dreams.
