"A Dream For Peace" by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is a stirring, dramatic, and inspiring account of his life. The book's opening chapter is titled "Birth to University." When Algeria was still a French colony, he was born in a little town there. Though modest, his family was robust and proud. He grew up in a slightly unconventional way when compared to contemporary families. His mother inspired him and thought that education was very important. With a scholarship that allowed him to attend any university, he decided to study medicine at the University of Bordeaux. In life, he would turn to politics and diplomacy.

The book has a really organized layout. The reader is not confused by its chronology. The reader can see from the table of contents how far-reaching our voyage will be, which delights us. The author's skill as a writer is evident in the tempting phrasing that makes the dedication quite sweet. The several introductions given before the book began were one aspect I liked about it. It provided the basis for introducing us to the author and highlighting the extremely wonderful things that have been said about him.

The book covered a wide range of Dr. Berrah's life experiences. He is an earnest husband who constantly shows his wife his love and respect, a gifted and diligent student, and a devoted Muslim. This book has no typographical errors, and it was flawlessly edited. The book was masterfully written; my only complaint was that I felt the author wrote too much on too many subjects, which made it too long and a little tedious for the typical reader. There were instances when he utilized a lot of technical phrases that the reader would find impossible to understand. but nevertheless, it was worth it.

I give this book a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 because this narrative is much more than just the story of a diplomat. It's a tale of love and peace aspirations. I recommend this book to all young Africans.
