Somawise extends beyond the physical part of embodiment to include the emotional, mental, and spiritual parts. This book combines scientific knowledge about the nervous system, trauma, and embodiment with practical exercises and techniques. This integration is a powerful platform for understanding the “why” behind the practices and empowers us to take real action toward reconnecting with our bodies.

According to me, the strength of the book Somawise lies in its holistic nature of self-realization, which is not merely concerned with the physical routines that we go through in our daily lives but rather goes into the complicated intersection of mind, body, and spirit. Sniewski encourages us to look at the emotional landscape not only as passing thoughts but also as actual feelings. He notes how they identify and accept emotions with bodily signs like tension in their chest, flutters within the stomach, or other sensations anywhere on their body. This consciousness gives them the ability to understand and react to emotions in healthier ways, hence going beyond repression or reaction. Also, Sniewski doesn’t ignore the mental aspects of embodiment in the book. Sniewski offers ways to resist the negative inner voice and restrictive beliefs so that we can develop a caring and supportive internal monologue.

Somawise’s style of writing complements its intention effectively, and Sniewski does his job well. It is a wonderful combination of clean information, person-specific susceptibility, brightened pictures, and a comforting tone that would help its readers in their journey to embody; however, regardless of whether you think it is merely captivating or over-the-top, the fact remains that Sniewski’s purpose as an artist depends on obtaining a deep connection with his audience and inciting them once again to embrace their own bodies. The editing has been great all along, as I have not found any type of error, and as a result, I have loved the book. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. There is nothing to deduct from the rating of the book.
